    Here are updated statistics of directory PageRank, encompassing Google’s latest PR update. The stats were compiled from our database of 12,000 directories at web-directories.ws.

    Very impressive stats. More directories went up in PR but less directories are getting PR3+. Must be changes to the algorithm.

    This is incredible, actually i have noticed that most of the aged directories have gone up with PR, and new ones are struggling for even PR3.

    That's a good suggestion but I don't feel the data is statistically significant enough to warrant that much attention. I go on spurts and add hundreds of directories from a wide range of sources. The information is not added in a random manner. Sometimes a lot of PR directories get added while other times a lot of PR0 directories get added.

    I feel the information is useful to get a long-term view of directories but not to look at detailed comparisons between periods.
