I wasn't around when the Florida thing happened.. but this seems like a complete re-structuring of the serps.. similar to what happened then.

Well, obviously you guys are seeing something I'm not. I've checked my sites on the keyword tracker, McDar's tools, and the SEOChat tools. I don't see a damn thing happening out of the ordinary.

Not only has this update NOT finished... it's barely off the ground. If it's anything like the last one, It's going to be a long 2 weeks.

    Fascinating theory. Thanks, spdude.

I don't know if it's true but it would explain some of the discrepancies, anyway.

Happy to say all rankings are back again in Google :)

So the drops maintained basically for just 36 hours. One thing I noticed is the cache update of my pages and regaining the rankings happened at the very same time.

So, if this has happened to you.. try pushing for a re-cache of your main pages with whatever methods you use. One thing you could do is quickly stick in a hyphen or something into the title tags of all of your main pages and re-upload them.

If your rankings are holding, don't worry about what the "link:" command is showing. It means absolutely nothing!

Just did a "link:" command on my site also.. and it's down from 12,000 to 1,200. Couldn't care less, as long as the rankings are back. Actually, it would be better that they do not display... so people wouldn't catch on to what I'm doing with the 1,000,000 ibls in yahoo!

CanadianEh: Its the 3rd time in the last week that Google has displayed for some sites pre-April 22 BL and PR. I just had some one tell me that my new sites were all PR0s.

Based on an extensive series of tables I have been compiling on previous Google behavior, including but not restricted to the PR updates, backlinks updates, patent applications, posts by members on things they heard a friend of a friend's brother's friend's girlfriend say on another forum, factoring in long-range weather forecasts, the current asking price for Google stock, and where Googleguy spends the next few weekends, as well as several other factors in my Google Predictor Algorithm (GPA), I am predicting an update sometime between May 23 and October 3, 2005, and a PR update somewhere between June 1, 2005 and December 31, 2010.

However, please note the caveat that these estimates may be off by plus or minus 2 months or more, especially if Googleguy has a bad hair day and decides to mess with our heads.

Holy crap, according to mcdar, we went from 147 to 379 on most datacenters!! Looks like our hard work is paying off! Now I just need a PR boost. :)
