Hi, I have been researching various PR services for the impending launch of a new software product that we are finishing up as I write this. I am not so much interested in press releases for SEO sake, but more for their effectiveness at actually reaching reporters/editors with news. I have researched the following and list their fees for a single press release below: prnewswire.com $460 - $1,200+ businesswire.com $460 - $1,200+ marketwire.com $460 -$1,200+ emailwire.com $99 or $199 For the top three services above, the range of pricing depends upon the word count of the release. For emailwire, the two prices reflect different services that they offer. I have not sent out a press release on the wire for many years and am flabbergasted at the high costs that they are quoting. Emailwire is much more reasonable, but they have so many typos and misused English on their website that I have eliminated them from consideration. So, are these other three the best options for a "traditional" press relese? I really am reluctant to spend this much money on a press release and am hoping that there are other, more economical solutions. Thanks in advance for your help with this. JRBIZ
Hello, I would take a look at http://www.prweb.com they are very good and cheaper than you have listed and can get your PR submitted to the AP.
