I've updated my page based on this thread: "Deep Links from RSS Feeds". It looks like www.syndic8.com does appear in the Google backlinks after all, though how much weight it has I don't know... Cryo.
Cryo, thank you for the tips. I have implemented only about half of your suggestions (still figuring out squidoo and the tagging aggregators), but my backlinks are up 120% since this thread started. RSS is essential. Green coming. For people new to RSS I would also recommend this page by another DP member.
Hi Cyro So have you created rss feeds for all those sites you recommended? with similar content? or different content and topic for each feed?
Thanks for letting me know. I've tried all three, and rssmix and feedjumbler look like they'll work out really well. Probably need to build links to the generated URLs to get the index. Not sure about rss.toolbox - dynamically generated pages haven't worked for me yet. I've just added blogskinny.com to my page Deep Links from RSS Feeds. I'll add these other ones too... PS: some RSS feeds I created: 21019 21020 8e459d11 71d1c862
http://www.rss-specifications.com/rss-submission.htm has a good list i just joined squidoo heres my first Funny Videos lense
There is also our website www.ourecohouse.info, where you can show your RSS feed. Also it's newly PR5. Here is an example of the web page your website might have http://www.ourecohouse.info/website_detail.php?id=131 So if you interested, you're welcome to join us
Another update to my Deep Links from RSS Feeds article - nothing new, but there are a couple services that have had to be removed. As always, if there's any service you know of that is missing from this list, pleae let me know. Cheers, Cryo.
So basically when an rss copies your website's page to another domain you think it is a valuable link... I rather doubt duplicate content provides that. Moreover your unique page can get indexed not on your own site even faster than where it really should be indexed
Most syndications do not reproduce your entire content, so they will not appear as duplicate content. You can always configure your feeds to only provide partial content if you need to. Not that it matters anyway, because there is no duplicate content penalty (Google said so). The aim of this is to get backlinks from pages that are related to your own. By syndicating snippets of your own content, you create pages full of your own keywords that link back to your website. They are unlikely to rank in the SERPs better than your own site - if they do then you probably need the extra traffic anyway.
