    hi there,

i wonder what happens if a domain (for a future movie) aint taken.

have anyone faced any issue related to intellectual property? if the movie production company contacts you, are you obliged to give them the domain for a price that you want to "sell it" for? or do you have to give it to them for whatever they want to "give" for it?

I am based in the US

    Cheers!

I seen a post for irobot2.com. There are people who are still registering upcoming movie domains. Why not register a generic domain about movies and promote it. Rather than registering a domain name which will be copyrighted and face the risk of losing it.

I believe Fox would use (and has already registered) Irobot2movie.com...When it comes to buying upcoming movie domains, I see no reason in registering it as long as the movie aint released yet :) On the pre-release phase, even though you may have to sell the domain to the production company, you would get way more than the initial registration fee.

The movies which are coming are actually copyrighted some companies do claim back the domains so not worth the risk i would say
