My site step down it's PR but as I always do continuously getting good backlinks? Anyone experienced or any tip?
I have one of my websites, have worked really hard and got hundreds of quality links even though got PR drop.. However, it's still saying: 'Page Rank Not Assigned' in the Google Webmasters Tools!
If you're referring to the site in your signature, I'm not seeing enough quality backlinks to qualify for higher than PR2. Most of the links are weak, some are nofollow and most contain no keyword text. I also noticed that much of the content is duplicated on other sites, some not cited. I'd be happy with your PR2
What is the PR of your back links? I think if there are many back links from just one site they are worth only as one link.
disregard PR altogether. Pay attention to your SERP ranking, that's all that matters and it's not related to PR.
Mate...First of all don't go for PR....Just go for Traffics... Secondly...You can't predict or assume anything about Google algorithms...
I have also down PR but my backlinks were also increased and I don't know whats going on. I have some blog as well wherein I can see in google when doing searching that it was on the first page of google when searching some keywords but it has no PR yet as well. I wonder if backlinks do affects my PR ranking?
Most of the people got this info for their websites. These are the few things that were noticed during the GOOGLE PR UPDATE. 1. Small or mini sites didn't get their share of PR update even though they got an update for the number of backlinks. 2. When GOOGLE meant quality backlinks they do really mean that. Most of the site that used to enjoy high PR for their site got a drop of it during this update. The main reason is the lack of quality link. 3. Authority sites to some extent got a PR update. But Blogs in general suffered a lot. Either the PR remained the same or got decreased. Summary If you really want to have a good PR for your website then engage yourself in the following things: 1. Write Quality content 2. Involve yourself in Link Building process through i. Article Submission ii. Directory Submission iii.Link Exchange (Taking into consideration few basic things like nofollow, iframes, robots meta tag, PR of the linking page, Class C Ip, domain age, domain value, link process, anchor text, deep level links and the links present on their site.) 3. Stay away from Link Farms and such types.
@arnabme - good post. I think the sites which lost PR despite increasing backlinks forgot that these links must be quality. @funa - this is not true. I have many links from the same sites (forums, blogs) and they are counted as individual links.
It happens if your site doesn't have enough content and PR doesn't completely depend on backlinks... I saw a few sites with thousands of backlinks, but with just PR2 and PR3.
This is not true at all. PR depends on backlinks only. There are many sites build in flash and does not have any real content to offer. But as they are authority sites and have enough backlinks(quality and not quantity only) they have good PR. Coming back to your point. A site may have got thousand of backlinks but what need to be check is the quality and certain other things which I have already mentioned in my previous post.
Absolutely. 5000 backlinks from PR0 directories nobody ever uses are worthless. 10 backlinks from PR5 site with the same topic as your site are priceless.
Hi, You need to stop you link building now, i think you have added much more back-links for a single keywords,
Getting Pr requires a balance between your inbound and outbound links. and quality does matter not the quantity. better build less but quaility links.
The PR of backlinks also loss their own ranks overtime which affect the PR of individual website, to sustain in good position it is important to continue with link building process on regular basis by implementing effective strategy rather than just relying on existing backlinks.
Check your backlinks in google webmaster tools and see if the number of backlinks are increased or decreased. Google only count backlinks that it thinks are worth counting. And do you sell any links on your site?
