    Hi,

Thanks to everyone participated with me in the previous thread.
I now have Wordpress latest release up and running.

BTW. I didn't like the free host from wordpress with all limitations, so i got my host, domain, and installed it.

I installed a few plugins, and my favorite theme. Now what? ~ Should I start writing straight away about my interests?.. Should I apply AdSense first?

Right now its plain. and I am tweaking the template at the moment, sidebars, etc.

Just tell me what steps I should take for a proper start?

Its going to be Webmaster related cause this is the only thing I know regardless of PPC I do not really care about that. (What kind of PPC I might expect, I presume really low)

No dont jump directly into adsense..first make a decent content rich blog and then promote it..once you have some traffic then try ads..

I certainly agree about this. I am going to contribute some content before trying ads. Thanks for your comments.
Right now, spending sometime signing up for Analytics, Webmaster tools, tweaking all that stuff.

Question: There is 2 lines of code that I need to enter in my .htaccess to have all www. traffic redirected to non www. version of the domain. This is urgently important for me. If someone can grab this for me, It is sure a great help.

Proceed to Settings --> General. There should be two spaces for you to enter your domain name. Just type in http://yourdomain.com for both the spaces and you should be done with it.

Try to modify your Permalinks as well.

What version of WP are you running ? The latest ones take care of the canonical url problem. You need to specify your preference- that is it.

I am running 2.5, the latest version on WP site. Custom permalinks for seo-friendly already done.

Yessss!! That plugin was my first plugin to install. I knew about it before, all-in-one-seo pack. Now I finished the template stuff, so I am just finding a nice ajax poll plugin, then I will be ready to post my content.
