Unwanted search traffic

The logs at download.tech-pro.net today are full of referrals from search.live.com. Trouble is, they are for search terms like viagra, bingo, travel, dating, in fact just about every heavily used keyword in existence, which have no relevance at all to the content of my site.

    An example referral is: http://search.live.com/result.aspx?q=lesbian&mrt=en-us&FORM=LVSP

When I enter this into my browser it tells me the page doesn't exist.

Google tells me that others have reported this as long as a year ago, but I didn't find an explanation of why these referrals are hitting my site. Anyone know?

It is called referrer spam. Check the IP address of the visit and block the range.

This happened to me 2 months ago. I looked up the ip, and it traced back to Microsoft. So, i guess they're checking to see if there's any adult content or spam on my site.
