Ok apparently one of the networks I am on is a bit unscrupulous and they are running popups when all I have selected to run are in page ads. Needless to say I hadn't noticed this because I run a popup blocker and it may have already cause a drop in my traffic rate (like forum traffic, which popups are absolutly horrible for) the only problem is I have no clue which network is doing it. I have ruled out Casale as they are a top tier network, the others are: TrafficMP InterClick RealtechNetwork So out of the three can anyone tell me which one is most likely to be the culprit? I just recently got accepted to realtech and started to run the ads, but I really have no clue how long the popups were going on for. Realtech seems to be running a lot of ads from other companies, so they are #1 on my list. Thanks
Wow, your ad networks are sneaking pop ups on you? That really does suck! If they do that behind your back, I wonder what else they'll try to pull, say, like maybe not paying you. This should ring your alarm bells post haste.
Yea, I am extremely unhappy.. I pulled InterClick and RealTech from rotation as I'm pretty sure its one of the two, even though I could be wrong, but trafficmp seems to be decent... even though it could be them as well. I would think that someone else on here would have encoutered this if they are doing something like that. On top of being annoying I am not getting paid for the popups, which is insane and down right theft.. Paypopup does this as well, I dumped them long ago.
For anyone who is interested, apprently Realtech Network was the culprit. I have mailed them about it and should hear back on Monday.
I've recently noticed unauthorized popups on my site as well! I only run Adsense and Tribalfusion right now on the pages it is happening. Considering the fallout Google would face from the press if they pulled this, it leaves me to think it might be TribalFusion... that or someone has hacked them or my site. Anyone else with Tribal notice this?
Hmm, that is very odd, TF has a pretty good reputation. I doubt google would pull that kinda thing, but I can see some sleezy advertiser stuffing popup code in where it shouldnt be and running the ads on CPM networks. Maybe its just a case of that sort of thing and its happening on multiple networks.
