Hi, I viewed in FF 2.0.0.13 and IE7 and both appear the same. Is the issue now corrected?

no, it is the same as before. hmmm it could be just my computer then. i have the FF plugin for no follow which puts a small box around the images. i though that, that could be the thing causing the problem.

not sure if you managed to fix this or not, but i've found that using a DTD often solves cross-browser compatibility problems.
also, note that IE doesn't follow standards and understands/interprets common coding mistakes as standard form.
