I've started getting a stack of computer advice questions in the comments on my blog. They don't match the post, don't have urls (so not spam). But I don't know what to make of them. here's an example Anyone else getting these? any thoughts?
I am not personally getting these. They don't look like SPAM (no links, no buisiness names) I am also unsure what to think of this Thanks
Man, this guys IE is really messed up... He is posting on some other blog, but IE is posting it on yours... Jokes apart, Did you copy this post directly from your blog display, or did you look in the source? Look at the source. It's quite possible that some "." or "," or something is in link... What's your blog URL? Bye
They are asking for Solution They are facing issues and they thing that here they will get a solution.. I do not see any spam activity in it..
There is no spam involved here, it might just be a regular blog reader and when he had problems he decided to seek help on his favorite website IT
I think you will have to decide. If you think the comment ties in with your blog post, then its probably good. if your post is about parrots and they ask you to solve their IE problem, then something is fishy
Mmm, I've had blog comments that have not had a link pointing to them, but they ask the same question time after time. I'm wondering if they are just testing to see if their comments get automatically added to the blog. Not sure though Sarah.
i had that a few weeks ago. it is wried because my blog is about diet. I delete it because it has nothing to do with my blog
seem like it is spam for blog and forum http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...It+is+doing+some+very+odd+things"&btnG=Search
Just reading another thread and it suggested that it's "cleaning" the IP so that Akismet thinks it's ok and will let the real spam through later. I use it, but I don't know the engine. I guess if someone makes 200 good comments and then makes a collection of spammy ones Akismet might give them some leeway.
I never experienced that kind of commenting... Either they are post related comments or they are a pure spam with loads of links.
