    Hey all,

I've been searching my ass off for a good domain and every single time i think of something short or good, it's taken by someone that puts a parked page on it and tries to sell it on.

I'm quite sick of seeing that and it ruins the purpose of a domain :/

In my opinion, there should be a rule that says you have to do something with the domain you buy, or you lose it.

What are your thoughts on it and are you sick of the same thing?

That's not important really :) I'm sure i'll find a good domain for it some day in the near future. That is, if i didn't kill myself out of frustration yet -.- :p

try to grab 5 alpha domain. you can create many subdomains for your site with highly targetted keywords , then submit your subdomain in directories and search engine , use blackhat technique to increase pr ( at small level) , your subdomain worth more than your main domain. i m working on it , just created sites on my domains, i hope i will do all the work for my site in 2 months :D

In theory your idea works, but all property can be just left to collect dust if the owner decides. Just look at old buildings, cars, and other things - they should all be used or gotten rid of, but the owners just let them sit around.

that was the idea originally but then registrars realised the money to be made from advertising in parked domains.

True, but you can't compare domains with buildings etc. There's only one domain with a certain name. Take home.com for example, that'd be a nice domain o have when selling homes or doing something with homes, but it's taken and has ads on it, nothing else. That shouldn't be allowed, for nobody.

I don't exactly need help finding a domain name... I know plenty of sites that could help me find one mixed with other keywords. Read the topic first ;)
