Hahaha! Now you know what it is like to be a girl on DP! I get those all the time... It doesn't hurt to chat with someone online, but I wouldn't give out my contact info to just anybody. But if you are bored and have time to chat with peope, it can be an interesting way to make new friends.
I get them from all kinds of people... Lots of new people, mostly. Being one of the few girls with an actual photo as an avatar attracts attention. That's why I keep on trying to sell my avatar space!

If they don't include your nic or something about a post then I'd see it as spam or fishing. I tend to steer away from those.
People add me on MSN plenty of times and I have not a clue who they are...You can guarantee that 99% of the time they want to sell you something.
how can you make a new friend if you dont make a first move to approach teh stranger. who knows he may really is a good guy who wanna have more friend. just keep him as a friend and dump him if smell something fishy. dont forget to put your guard on all the time.
