Is sending this kind of PM good or bad?

Why would some one want to chat with an unknown?

Yes, its the best thing that could happen to you! consider yourself lucky. This is better than kicking an eskimo in the nuts and then stealing his dog.

Hahaha! Now you know what it is like to be a girl on DP! I get those all the time...

It doesn't hurt to chat with someone online, but I wouldn't give out my contact info to just anybody. But if you are bored and have time to chat with peope, it can be an interesting way to make new friends.

I get them from all kinds of people... Lots of new people, mostly. Being one of the few girls with an actual photo as an avatar attracts attention. That's why I keep on trying to sell my avatar space!

Why? You want all the new guys hitting on you?? :p

I usually don't mind the PMs as long as they are not proposing marriage, or threatening to move here and find me in real life. That gets kinda scary.

And at this point, I can't change my avatar! jkrish41 owns it! ;)

If they don't include your nic or something about a post then I'd see it as spam or fishing. I tend to steer away from those.

how can you make a new friend if you dont make a first move to approach teh stranger. who knows he may really is a good guy who wanna have more friend. just keep him as a friend and dump him if smell something fishy. dont forget to put your guard on all the time. ;)
