I've noticed an increasing trend in users hawking junk links on wordpress blogs on dropped domains. Either they offer blog posts, permanent links, or want to link exchange with you. You can see from the archives that sometimes the site is not even a month old. Besides looking at the archive, what tools can we use to protect ourselves from paying $100+ for a permanent link on a high PR (5+) domain?
