Ah, yes... Ralph The Simpsons are great -- most of the great lessons in life are addressed there eventually: "Yes, Lisa. Two wrongs do make a right." - Homer "Mom's blocking the way!" - Bart "Push her down, son." - Homer Watching The Simpsons with your kids is what bonding is all about. And when The Simpsons isn't on, there's Family Guy and South Park You're gonna make a great mom, Wendy!
*grins* Thanks Minstrel Hubby likes simpsons too. Home can provide some good fatherly advice... Homer: Kids, you tried your best and you failed miserably. The lesson is, never try.
Look what it did to you TOOT, get ahold of me when you have an extra 50 grand to throw at a portal TOOT
I meant it -- it wasn't supposed to be sarcastic. I think watching TV programs with a child that BOTH parent and child can enjoy and laugh about and talk about later is a very strong bonding experience. And kids love The Simpsons, even if some of the allusions are over their heads. South Park is a different matter. And even Family Guy isn't for very young kids.
My dad won't watch south park with me now. He loves the show, so do I, but the references are too much for him to watch with his little girl Simpsons however, we watched that together all the time. hubby and I feel the same way about playing computer games with a kid. Not that it should be the main focus, but it can be a fun bonding experience. My children will be raised with Diablo and Simpsons
