unpacking rar files

    Is it possible to unpack rar files directly on a ftp server than doesn't have ssh access?

    yeap you could, you have to have ftp file manager to do that which requires you to have cpanel.

    i don't have a cpanel too..just the ftp

    You could FTP the file from the server to your computer and extract it there, but I'm not sure how easy it is to extract the files through an FTP client.

    do you think i can find an ftp client that does that?..i searched but it sounds not possible

    with ftp you can't extract anything on the server, you will have to unrar the files at your desktop pc and than you can upload them to the server via ftp
