Has anyone created any band fan site? Do they have good earning? Are there any legal issues?

    Thanks

I havn't, but I have looked at some. I think it's a very good idea. As far as good earning it all really depends on what you would consider good. I could see google adsense doing good as well as some affiliate programs. I don't really think there would be any legal issues as long as you don't break any copwrite's or post false information. You should be making a lot more than $5 a day with that many uniques. You should study some of the other threads here and maybe that'll help increase your earnings. What is the site btw?

    Sorry Liminal - my bad

Another question - Would there be legal issues from using, say a domain name such as www.unofficialoasis.com?

    Thanks
    Jamie

Yeah I would think it should be doing much better -- I get 4-5$ a day on average on my brand new site only getting a little over 100 visitors a day, 118 uniques was the most so far I think on that site. One of the problems with Fan sites, is most likely they are not looking for something to purchase, just some pictures, info, lyrics.

A lot of bands would be happy for the publicity! (although this is not set in stone...)
