    I'd like to know whats going on....No accounts were transferred and is this a marketing ploy or what? I am just really confused on the whole situation. Not be mean but people are making threatening statements.

    I'm actually quite hurt that you would think that I would do this for a marketing ploy. I offer you a free server and all you do is doubt me? This really makes me want to reconsider whether or not I will help or not.

    No accounts were transferred because we were waiting for a backup server to be deployed so we could WGET the backups to that. My tech staff were working all night and are waiting for a reply from TheNYNoc (The place where the VPS is located) about arranging extra data due to the fact that the VPS didn't have enough to transfer the 43GB backup file.

    I will get back to you on the situation soon.

    I am very sorry but a person said something about legal action but I doubt they can do much. I am just very frustrated.....that I won't be able to get more customers and my reputation is ruined by being the worst host ever. I really am grateful for your help but I am just very concerned for my company and my customers. I don't feel happy at all. I am happy that you are doing this for me....but I don't want to have a bad rep.

    Hey I personally don't think you would this as a marketing ploy. Matter fact it was very generous to offer a free server since servers are not free (I wish though.) You are a very respected member here, and I have no idea why you would want to do that.

    Lets figure this out.. Your VPS is down,. we have tried to help you move the account to the server Cameron set up..YOUR rep is not ruined YET! Get your VPS Online and get the accounts moved. We (me and you ) have just spent the last 2 hours talking in Yahoo chat and I HAVE GAVE you a solution. There is not much Cameron or I can do if your VPS is off line. THAT is the first thing that needs to be done.. I dont think besides the fact people can Google this for the next 6 Months that this was a - Marketing scheme... In my opinion a VPS IS USED FOR personal use NOT A COMPANY with software and sales. What ever option you decide all YOUR clients want is there websites back online.. The ball is in your hands... QUIT or Become a GREAT host!

    Grabacontroller, please don't believe these "legal actions" junk. It is very hard to probe how they actually lost money since the way website business works and they can try and take you to court but won't win by any means.

    Iwhic, The reason for not paying over $100 for a dedicated server was the fact that I don't want to be obligated to pay for a server and forget to cancel before I change servers etc. and sent to a collection agency.

    OK, This is just a big mess... Somebody has gone into the VPS and messed with the backups that my tech created. Anyone who has been trying to transfer stuff from this server etc, Please contact me ASAP so I can get this sorted.
