This offer is no longer valid until we get another server. We got so many orders that its putting a strain on the server. If you decide to host with us, no proxy sites until we get another server. As for the current users, I will put some of your proxies on the new server. The new server should be available monday.

I fixed the problem but no more proxies on my servers. It can't handle it. If you are deciding that the reason for using the account is for proxies. I will issue a full refund Monday. I am extremely sorry.

I am very sorry. I will issue a refund Monday. I have changed my mind about hosting proxies. You can still have other sites if you wish. Tell me please if you still want to continue. As for the sites, the reason why I have suspended, the memory was eaten by 40%(took cpanel down and 3 hours of downtime.)and of course my server obviously couldn't handle it.

it's hard to host a lot of proxies especially when they eat up a couple gigs a day.

Obviously, cause I run a proxy host myself and know what it takes to host proxies... ;)

Question, What kind of server do you need to put a lot of proxies on? I am just curious about this so that my server doesn't go down like it did.

Look for a dual core or quad core with 2GB RAM at least

    the more the better ;)

It probably would help to have a dedicated server too. I am running a VPS with over 100 accounts with a server load barely high at all. If I get enough customers, I might get me another VPS or get a dedicated with a quad processor although they are over $200. I think they would be worth it.

100 proxy accounts on a vps ? or maybe 90 sites and 10 proxies ?

Actually providing proxy hosting on a VPS is a big mistake - the VPS is just an improved shared account - treating it as independent environment is a mistake

Even if you get enough RAM - you will still need much CPU power

Yep that was a big mistake. I admit my guilt. ;) its more like 90 accounts and 10 proxies. I have 1 gb of ram and 1.5 gb of burst but that sure didn't help did it? :p Anyways, getting a dedicated server would probably be best for a proxy host. I didn't host proxies before thats why I pretty much was in a new territory.

when you host proxies, the CPU becomes the issue

you had to host your own proxies to test the water before you get naked into boiled water ;)

Now that you've learnt your lesson, it's never too late to amend things.

The community of proxy hosts at DP is really great and friendly. Dunno if you'll ever find any other forum where there's so much harmony among competitors! :p
