Unmetered bandwidth host question - Need Recommendation

    Hello DP,
I have been scouting around from host to host looking for good deals on unmetered bandwidth hosting plans. I need a plan that will give me atleast 10 gig space and can offer unlimited bandwidth at a reasonable price (around shared hosting price).

I have a couple sites and want to offer media downloads without it eating my regular bandwidth for my dedicated server plan. I also need a host that wont decide to shut my account down the next week because it eats so much bandwidth (not saying it will, but incase).

    Thanks for any recommendations!

Well, if you ask me, then there's nothing called unlimited bandwidth particularly for shared hosting plans you're looking for.

You could opt for unmetered 5Mbps or 10Mbps dedicated servers...you gotta pay for what your sites eat up ;)

I saw some good 5Mbps unmetered deals at WHT forums for VPSs at around $15 a month.
You could get of of these too and host your media files there.

    Here's a deal : http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=619437

5 mbit at $15 is just overselling.

An ideal 5 mbit bandwidth dedicated usage would cost around $100+ and Tier 1 Bandwidth would cost about $200

FDC offers unmetered bandwidth(shared) but no guarantee how much up would it be there. It does not have a SLA. Down often. Extremely slow speeds such that a 10 mbit server on different provider would work fine. They already say "You get what you pay for"

You pay $150 for server + unmetered bandwidth. Thats type of server is usually $75, and you need not to expect unmetered bandwidth for $75?

Try to upgrade your own dedicated server plan. There is no good reason to take another server.

Unlimited / Unmetered does not exist on the shared hosting world if you want any bit of reliability. You should find a host offering a fixed limit of bandwidth that is the amount you want.

dedicated or VPS are recommended for high traffic sites..

What if they use a 100Mbps connection on a strong box and distribute it evenly to 20 VPSs on it ? European bandwidth is really cheap and if you can use the allocated 5Mbps, then why worry? Atleast one can give them a try. ;)

I agree with agnivo007. They have good connection and european bandwidth is always fast and cheap. You can try it.
