unknown Google Server Error

Discussion in 'Keyword Tracker' started by Smyrl, Nov 26, 2005.

Today is panic day aka all I see is red day. When I went back in and tried to check some of my keywords manually I get Unknown Google Server Error.

I removed the path to my advanced usage script and was able to check one keyword manually but when I tried to check second one manually am back to Unknown Google Server Error.

    Anyone else seeing something similar?

Well guess we will just have to ride this out. What I dread is having to hand check all those keywords. Think I am over170. It it has to start looking at position one and work its way down we are going to run out of our 1000 queries real fast.

Looks like Google is having problems with their front-end proxy servers/load balancers. Happens once in awhile and they will hopefully get it sorted out on their end (you can see the actual error if you lookup keywords manually).

I have been able to manually update all my SERPs that are on first page. Only think I updated two that appeared on seccond page. Someone recently posted they had problems using site command. Google is having problems today.

from the UK it looks like this has settled down now. I also had a fright last night, but when i saw the server error I recognised it as a problem I had seen before. Also my google traffic was way lower yesterday, so perhaps it was affecting searches?

I have had more problems than normal since the 26th. Today is probably my worse day since then. This too will pass.

I'm all red for MSN & Yahoo too. Will the Google issue effect them too?

I would not think so. Have you tried to manually check by clicking on keyword phrase.

I found my problem was due to our forum phpBB being hacked. To secure the directory while I update it I renamed it. This caused the path for my "Advanced Usage Script" to be not found. Once again, a problem caused by my own ineptness.
