Osprey Scene was designed to be the number 1 resource for all UNF students (their mascot is the Osprey). We wanted to provide the students a place to talk, exchange notes or books, find tutors, school events, roommate search and more.

There is also a gallery that was installed for the purpose of students uploaded pictures of the nightlife.

The site runs on Joomla. The forum and Gallery are bridged with the Joomla logins. The sports news is all automated via rss feeds.

We originally went to UNF campus and put flyers up around the dorm rooms. This was partially successful. That is really the only promotion we did.

We intended to earn money via adsense and private sales to local businesses.

If you spam myspace and facebook unf groups, I'm sure you can get members.

My partner and I kind of just put this to the side and let it go.

    Joomla skin cost us $35
Logo design was created on sitepoint in a $100 contest

You're pretty much bidding on this for the potential it has. There are no other University of North Florida community sites. The school has like 20,000 students and it growing every year.

    Starting Bid: $100
