Stox needs to just rewrite the whole dictionary and make it available online for all to use.

Agreed. So wouldn't the solution to the problem be to attack the costs and bring them down so all can afford it?

Nope, instead our Government is dragging us into the dark ages of Europe and instead of addressing the out of control costs is going to simply make us pay even more for ours and those that "can't afford it".

Brilliant. Thank God for people like Obama.

On the death penalty. That's not a USA thing. That's something left up to individual states. Not all do, and those that do in many cases either do not do it very often or have not done so for a very long time. There's actually more countries around the world that do and do so brutally. In fact, that number is larger than the total combined number of states that still have old laws on the books that support it.

The difference though? The US actually has fair laws and a court system that makes every effort (at the public expense no less) to help insure that only those guilty are being put to death. Still not perfect, but at least we attempt.

And thank you for yet again fulfilling my prediction. Declaration of victory followed by an insult. Look stOx, your argument isn't with me. It is with the English dictionary. Why get so testy with me when it is really the English dictionary, and perhaps the English language that is your enemy?

Maybe if I phrase it how you would phrase it, it would help you to understand. I'll give it a go.

Did that help? :D I'm just trying to help here.

Whilst I don't really care about arguing the point, I would like to congratulate you on that posting, it was one of your best for a long time.

It actually made sense, even though I disagree with it.

In other words you really believe that instead of focusing on a simple solution to a big problem, you'd rather throw other people's money at it?

Your bolded part is why you need decent healthcare, healthcare that is available to everyone.

Your worried about money? Bushes 2 wars that are never going to achieve anything (stated reasons) have cost far too much, and your about 8 years too late to worry about money:D

Trust Obama he spoke more sense during his campaigning than Bush ever did.

Ok, this is not your fault. You do not live here, so you do not know. We have decent health care. In fact, we have some of the best in world. That's why so many people from your country come here looking for it. Particularly for dental work.

Oh yeah, its also available to everyone. Including you Brits!

The war on terror is a WORLD WAR. One the entire world, including you guys, have been part and party too all along. They were not started by Bush. Again, I cannot fault you for this. You're pretty young. You only know what you've read or been told about history after its been rewritten.

Another thing you do not know is that more than 60% of the revenue our government takes in covers all the social programs we have. Not the war. The war is and has been pretty much pennies in comparison to what we spend and waste our tax revenues on.

Again, you do not know these things. How can you? You don't live here.

Can you give me one example of this? Just one. While you are at it, name one piece of legislation Obama introduced and passed while Senator of the State of Illinois. Hell, name one he introduced and passed as a US Senator?

Name something he's said or done that was ever of any consequence?

It that why people cannot even afford to get treated? and your insurance companies refuse to pay regularly even when insured, or refuse to insure some people leaving people stuffed? That's not health care it's a mess.

    You guys come here too.

    LMAO

If that's you in your avvy then I'm older than you.

You only know the republican party line and what the government told you:D

BTW: We know Obama is no good after all he's probably a Muslim:)

No one goes untreated. No one is refused. I went without insurance for 7 years and had no problem getting treated, including a very expensive life threatening operation several years back.

The problems are between the health care provider businesses/conglomerates and the insurance companies. The costs for both are WAY out of control, and all gets passed onto the patient. Its not that no one can afford to pay, its that the costs are out of control and no one is doing anything to help control them.

There is no competition in either the health care or the insurance industry. For the most part in each state one or two insurance and health care companies own and run everything.

No one is refused insurance either. Where are you getting your information? Anyone can get insurance. Assuming you are willing to pay what they are asking.

The problem is again with cost, not care. Care is perfectly fine. Some of the best in fact.

Where you and others are confused is that you believe there is a health care problem. Or that "health care is a mess". This is simply not the case. Insurance and the businesses that run the health care conglomerates are the problem. And now, we have a third PROBLEM. Government.

To look at old shit and drink good beer, that's about it. If I had ever once needed health care in my travels abroad, I would have most certainly chosen to die. Especially in Rome... Americans really have no idea how much better we have it.

    REALITY

Would senile have been a more appropriate description?

Once again, age, wisdom, experience, and of course I do live here. I've lived elsewhere too. The only line I walk is reality. Try it some time, its very liberating!

He's also inept, immature, inexperienced and in way over his head!

You do realize that terror and terrorism is not limited solely to the US right? The effort to end it, is world wide.

This is, and has been WWIII since we were attacked on 9/11/01. Do remember, they did not call WWI, World War One.. They called it "The Great War" or the "War to end all Wars". It was not until after another war involving many of the world's powers came about that The names World War One and the Second World War arose.

Here we have a similar military conflict like that of the previous world wars. A military conflict where many of the worlds axis of allies have been involved.

The only difference as I see it is that in WWI and WWII eventually those most powerful nations involved actually united. Unfortunately politics, egos and ignorance have left many of the parties involved divided with regards to the progression of this military conflict.

Some years from now, when you are out of grade school perhaps, or have your own kids, they'll learn of this as World War Three.

Everyone seems to believe WW3 is supposed to be Nuclear in nature. That's Hollywood talking. If things every go completely Nuclear, that's the End of the World, not a at World War.

    Whooooooooooooooooa!!!!

This post got kinda wild! Whoo! Well, at least the dialogue keeps going because folks are passionate about their position and try to back up their statements with something other than emotion. Whether the facts are all credible or the positions are all reasonable isn't the issue. You guys at least think about what you are saying. Whether I agree or not, that's more than I see on most internet forums.

For that much, you guys (you know who you are) ROCK.

And for the laughs. The language has gotten a bit colorful at times, but the discourse has been a late night picker-upper for sure. Maybe I need to find some more forums where people actually try to think. Any suggestions? It's mostly crap out there on the worldwide web these days. I don't have to tell you all that.

Anyone else care to comment while this is still going strong?
