Cold Fusion, break throughs in technologies? Who knows? With the oil at current prices, it is far more rewarding researching into alternatives. One strike at the right technology, crude oil as fuel may be redundant!

I already bought some $150 oil. But I got a discount and only paid $115. ;)

Well, I am a firm believer in technology, I do believe that the technology exist to replace oil but is being restricted or push aside by those rich oil cartels and I do believe one of these days such technologies will see the light and we can expect much cleaner and efficient fuel. By then you may find that $115 is really not a bargain :)

I always look to the bright side. High oil prices means less people driving, which means I will hopefully never be stuck in traffic as I fly through D.C. in my hummer.

Well it already is that low in those particular countries.. ;)

Are all Albanians this angry on Thursdays?

FYI, my cars and moto are made in the following places:

Motor Germany, every other part, KC/Milwaukee/PA.
Cars - US and Mexico... I have one that was made in the UK, entirely..

Why must you guys keep straying so far from the topic.. We go from Depression to China.. Is anyone here every on target? Wait' don't answer that.

Oops I was thinking of answering with the Great Wall of China which was protruding out when seen from Space, some sort of consolation when we keep talking about depressions :)

I see, typical of you. When you can't win an argument you resort to personal attacks and veer off topic. Where is your keyboard you are typing on made? Again you fail to make up for your shortcomings...

    False...
    http://www.snopes.com/science/greatwall.asp

I, unlike you am not here to win arguments. I simply said that I can and do live without depending solely on China or Chinese goods.. You and your buddy the hairy one, have simply mis-read, mis-interpreted, or just mis-understood simple English... Given it is a second language for you, I will convey you a little latitude.

Now can you find someone else to bother and badger? I told you already, I am not gay, now go pester someone else.

You seem to know so much about me, yet know nothing about your own self. Stop lying to yourself. You DO depend on Chinese goods as over 90% of what you use on a daily basis is made in China, and to claim otherwise is a lie. Now go in your kitchen and start reading the Made in China labels on all your appliances for your benefit and than come back here and take back what you said.

It doesn't matter anyways, because the Chinese are involved an nearly all household and electronic goods. A car or cycle might be made somewhere, but the componentry comes from all over the world.

Wiring harnesses and digital displays are just a few items that are made overseas. Made in America these days, might be "Assembled in America" at best.

Anyways, yeah it's not relevant to the OP, but then one poster here keeps insisting that the Depression is not a Depression, but rather a correction, which means he is posting in the wrong thread.

We aren't talking about counterfeits here, we are talking about bona fide goods made in China. Just a difference of opinion on what proportion is being used and not on its authenticity.

There is a difference between opinion and fact. Someone in here is in complete denial on the issues and we are simply stating hard facts, maybe just maybe someday (I highly doubt it) they will see the light. Arrogance and ignorance are line twins attached to the head.

Newsflash: The FED has decided to accept rice as AAA collateral at the window. Borrow all you want and buy yourself a McMansion.

Haliburton/KBR has created a "matter re-arranger" that could do the trick. From what I've heard, it works pretty good. They used it on Cheney to make him look more human.
