BRUm, you are going to have to give me specific examples of how the PATRIOT Act hurts civil liberties. And I don't mean urban legends or blog posts. I mean quote the actual PATRIOT Act.

England, Canada, and the USA have adopted PATRIOT Act-like legislation for a reason. Our common concept of a war is something that is fought OUTSIDE the country. People object to PATRIOT Act legislation because they absolutely cannot conceive that war is now fought on native soil. 9/11 wasn't an act of vandalism, and until they rushed the cockpits the terrorists hadn't done anything illegal.

PATRIOT Act-like legislation is preventative. That's important. Remember, a police force depends upon habeas corpus because they act after a crime is already committed. Military laws are preventative. Sure, some guy hasn't committed a crime, but he's got a van full of fertilizer ammonia and gasoline and a map to the nearest shopping mall. It's not against the law so police are powerless, but under the PATRIOT Act he can be stopped and lives saved.

 

Isnt Habeus Corpus suspended?

 

Yes, because Habeus Corpus is proof a crime has been committed. If you are preventing an illegal action (crime or act of war) that has not happened, the illegal action has not been committed, so there is no proof of an illegal action, so no writ of Habeus Corpus. Instead, intent to commit a crime or act of war must be proven (which is a lot more difficult to prove without Habeus Corpus).

In politics or business, once you reach the upper levels of power or celebrity, trust me, these stunning whores have to be fought off with nunchucks. I've been thinking a long time how to explain this so it doesn't sound too outrageous to the naive, or I'm reduced to having people take my word for it.

O.K., let's try this - Powerful, wealthy men get horny. When these are guys that didn't get laid much early in life they want to make up for lost time.

Playboy, Penthouse, porn stars - these super hot girls are all whores, period. That's not good or bad, it's just the way it is. It's normal. Ever since they were young, guys have been doing things for them and giving them gifts. And when they are teens, when sex can be had so easily, it's not special and as common as a cup of coffee and later is given away as easily. Super hot girls who were sexually abused (maybe 30% of them) give it away even more (these girls can be easily fucked if you know their formula).

Super hot girls can't get regular jobs. They are either a distraction or a sexual harassment lawsuit waiting to happen. So they make $$$ with their looks. They feel it's normal.

Super Hot girls are super competitive with each other. They brag about the STATUS of men they've slept with and the gifts they've received. This starts in high school when they compete to fuck the quarterback.

Rich, powerful men party within their class. They want to fuck super hot girls, and super hot girls want to be at the party (why? See above). If you've seen the Al Pacino movie "People I Know", it revolves around Pacino's character accidentally walked into one of these sex parties and saw what he shouldn't have seen. "Eye's Wide Shut" is a surrealistic version, but the concept is the same.

Or, to put it another way, rich & powerful men can be stupid and horny. Super hot girls are slutty, competitive and greedy and will throw themselves at the rich & powerful.
Rich and powerful women are worse than the men.

The more you know about human nature, the more you will know this is true. If you were raised Catholic you won't believe it.
