Absolutely and this is why Europe is going to shits. So much focus on what America does while losing themselves in complete dependence.

Its come full circle. Now the US markets in particular watch what's going on in Europe with regards to their debt as an indicator for how well things are looking globally...

Every time it looks like Greece or Spain will default, Europe turns around and says, 'everything is peaches and roses', "we're all good".. Stock Market UP.. Next day, default is eminent. Stocks go down...

I would certainly be nice if I could just tell myself I am ok when I am not... Or give myself $50 when I only have $5... It's a strange and scary alternate reality the economic world lives in. Its a little place called denial.

It's funny how you refer to the candidate you're going to vote for as (c)"he looks like a doddery old fool". If serious, it's the worst that the modern political world lacks trustworthy candidates, who you'll vote for, because you really believe in his/her program. Unfortunately, we're now forced to vote not For somebody and his/her ideas, but rather Against somebody.

Err, I was just giving my thoughts/perceptions seeing we're being bombarded with it on our television. Fortunately I live in Australia and this election has nothing to do with me, apart from dragging my fellow Australians into wars I don't believe in at the behest of who's in power there.

My comment was more about how to end the Fed rort rather than the election itself though it looks to me like RP is the best choice from a bad lot.

FTR, I am anti-republican after seeing what the last one elected (twice) did, aided by his evil minions. Most P&R regulars are aware of that as I have said it a number of times. Hopefully that clears any clouds about where i'm coming from.

Nah, you are a closet log-cabin Republican. You just don't know it yet.

Every now & then I click 'view Mia's post' and seeing you responded so quickly after my earlier post that was one of those times. I was already thinking about doing it as you have been on there for a couple of years. A lot has happened since then. Not that I expect to ever agree with you, but that wasn't ever my problem with you as I enjoy a 'fair' debate. I found your ultra-greens gives you too much power in here, as you take stuff personally it was best just not arguing / debating you in order for me to keep some sort of reputation when dealing in other threads (which I needed at times for work purposes). Not so important to me now as my itraders do that if/when required. I'll tread lightly for a bit though. :)

Not too sure on that one, nor do I know what that is, but if they suddenly start heading to the centre then I could certainly re-think that one. :)

Earned those "ultra-greens" a long time ago.. Been around here since 98'.
I certainly did not earn them arguing in P/R ;)

Is rep really that important here? Don't feel bad, no one here agrees with me.

I'm fairly certain thought that most people can agree that the champion of hope and change is anything but... Or not.

Very important when you're new and trying to get ppl / strangers to do stuff for ya.

I don't feel bad about that, it was the repercussions that concerned me, and only that. I got over that a while ago but didn't feel right unblocking you for some reason. Mind you I did get pretty upset with you at the time.

You get a lot of green rep OUTSIDE of P/R... Answering questions, being helpful, etc..
You cannot get RED REP on P/R... It does not count....

    Join the crowd.

Yupp, Almost all the rep from P&R turn out grey and add no point to total count..
You have hard time telling if they were meant to be green or red. The only give away is the comment. For example, when I get a grey rep with a comment like - stupid motherfucker or curry muncher or stinky Indian, I assume it must be red. With 'green' grey reps, people often sign them. So I simple assume that signed grey reps were meant to be green.

"curry muncher".. Never heard that one before... I've been in the habit of signing everyone I've ever given. If it was red, it was signed as well. If it was red, it was as much deserved as a green one.

Republican party is divided in 2 sections: Republicans who are closet gays and log-cabin Republican who are openly gays. :)

I have definitely received a number of reds linking directly to P&R so I think those with ultra-greens can give reds here. I can't see any there ATM but whoever it is usually go to the contests thread to give me a second one.

Aah, thanks gworld, that explains it. I had a feeling it meant gay somethin. :)

'curry muncher' is oft used in England & Australia as slang for Indian just like the word Pommie for an English person. It's not usually derogative bt some do use it that way.
