@ O_Nation:   I see you are unable to respond.  The GOP formula for success created the worst decade of financial disaster since the great recession.  I see you are promoting the same disastrous ideas.  So much for being concerned about America.  The GOP program is one focused on padding the bank accounts of the very few and very wealthy.

    Confirmation. Its all you have.

I cant help but chuckle as I watch the party in power try and disassociate themselves from the tar baby of the blossoming troubles in this nation. Your best hope is to smear it around a bit.

Will the nation’s nightmare ever end?

Economic Feudalism has always worked well with Organized religion. The present Administration is a refresher irregardless the reprehensible alliance and still remains a Clarian call for Change the reactionaries desperately are trying to dispel.

There remains much of the equation for the 08 election victory still in tact that again if properly applied can succeed over the next year to win reelection. Campaigning is not the same as governing and if Obama can still draw his support and money he can again defeat the Republicans.

What enormous tax cut deals? As I wrote previously, I actually searched through the bills of early Bush. I found the "Job Creation and Worker Assistance Act of 2002" which shifted the tax tables for the upper-middle class. I couldn't find anything else, Earl. What did you find?
Excuse me, but the economy seemed to be doing fine until the Democrats took Congress??? Did you read when I wrote that Pelosi started the downturn of unemployment when she raised the minimum wage?
    Fluctuated as normal, nothing more.
Total and complete Bullshit. Nothing compares to the $3 Trillion spent by Obama and the Democrats.

Quite right. When the Democrats had both Houses while Bush was President, Bush never vetoed any of the Democrat's outrageous spending bills. As a matter of fact, Bush never vetoed ANY of the spending bills sponsored by the Democrats while they held both houses. So, you are absolutely right Earl!

Bush did veto 12 bills sponsored by Republicans. Which "GOP outrageous spending bill" should be have vetoed? Which Democrat outrageous spending bill should he have vetoed (we are being bi-partisan, right?)?

With a track record for creating the worst economy, why would anyone want to buy into the Democrat's program? Honestly, look at the polls. Look at the talk shows. Even Jon Stewart has suggested the new motto of the Democratic party: "We Suck Less"

We are seeing the death throes of the Democratic party and they are going out, kicking and screaming and ranting with the maniacal rant of a spoiled teenager, with the whine of "It's everyone's fault but mine!!!"

That was pretty funny. Dylan actually scared his guests into silence and, against his nature, found himself trying to side with the Republican strategist while at the same time arguing for an infrastructure bank and government seizures of private capital. He definitely nailed the corruption nail on the head though. Looking at the veins sticking out of his neck, I'd say he'd make a good tea party rep(god that sounds horrible).

Hey Breeze, we won. We held the Senate. In fact, we'll likely pick back up 2 seats next week in the Democrat recall.

Wisconsin is still open for business.

Look for more states to follow.

    Stock market down 400+ again...

40 million in outside money, Democrats went into recall outspending the Republicans 5 to 1, and all they could get were two seats out of six, one of which was in a traditionally heavy Democratic district, the other with the incumbent living with his mistress. I watched Ed Shultz on MSNBC last night, and you would swear it was the DNC campaign channel, without even a pretense of being objective. Even more incredible, these morons think yesterdays election results bode well for going after Walker directly.

I guess they figure if they win, they can vote themselves the pay raises necessary to pay the union dues required to refill the campaign coffers after this boondoggle.

Watching the UK riots, I get a vision of what things will be like in California when the state can no longer afford to keep the nipple in the mouth of those living off of it. Who really thinks 60% unemployment amongst inner city Los Angeles blacks is sustainable?

MSNBC is OWNED by unions.. literally. They are so far to the left they no longer resemble a news service.

The funny thing is the DNC and libs here in WI still think they won. We have another recall election slated for next week and its two dems on the chopping block. At this point a recall of the governor is all but impossible, but they say they will do that too. The reality is the two districts that lost were very close, typically democratic and bound to lose no matter what. I think now the rest of the country realizes that what we are doing in WI is a MANDATE. And its one that works. Its one the people chose and the people still want.

Look, we balanced a near 4 billion dollar deficit here and we did it in under 2 months without putting a single person out of work. And in that same time we added jobs. More jobs than we've added in nearly a decade. And we did it without raising taxes.

The federal government can learn a lot from Wisconsin. Keep your eye on Darling. She'll be governor some day.

A single mother from St. Louis paid for this banner to be flown over Manhattan this morning.

The banner reads, "Thanks for the downgrade.... You all should be fired".

Listening to knx 1070 news radio  this morning, I heard Beth Ann Bovino, Senior Economist at Standard and Poor's, mention that she had read an article about this banner over Manhattan.

Her comment: The money spent on the banner would have been better used  giving it to the government.

The interviewer's response: Uh, I believe it was only 900$ or so.

Picking up two means the least the Democrats will do is break even. Your interest seems to have awoken with the results....

What Bushranger does not understand is this threads title is the predilection of the Republican posters in this forum and their allies in Congress - a demise of our economy as their objective as a means for their re-election to Office. Rather than the efforts of well intentioned people of both parties for the success of the country it remains their objective to be destructive irregardless the actual and contradictory results.

The above poll is a good indication the country has begun to mature and prefers accomplishment over rhetoric and blind ideological fallacies.

Maturity against the mindless wanderings of arrogance and corruption as a folly for their own self grandizement than the general good. - anyway Mia your point is poorly taken any way you spin it and surly for investors the opportunities being afforded by the present conditions are not being ignored and the reality of the market always transcends its momentary conditions.

It doesn't get any better than that. And from MSNBC no less.

That video should be required viewing for all Americans.

Blue Star, a sincere Thank You for that video catharsis.

BTW, why is it I can only see that video in Preview, but I can't see it from my browser? I had to do a View Source to get the URL. For those like me, here is a direct link.

Is he suggesting that President should basically say FU to congress and do whatever he wants? Of course you are counting on him [a politician] to do the right things..
Congressmen wont do the right thing because that will affect their funding.. But of course the president doesn't care about his own funding. He wants to commit the political suicide.. And of course it doesn't matter that who actually send these people to congress!!

Think about it, is the president really different than the congressmen he was talking about?
And the top of that, we are talking about Barak Obama here, you expect him to do the right things, seriously?

I didn't actually catch a clear set of tangible instructions in his rant, but I agree with your assessment. He wanted the president to tell all of America that their congressional representation is bought and paid for, without acknowledging that the president is also bought and paid for. Perhaps that is one of the sources of his anxiety.

It seems that when the Democratic stategist on his show trotted out yet another talking point (lie) that addressed none of the real issues at hand, he mentally snapped. Like a dog that has been fed gunpowder, he looked ready to bite the person closest to him. The nonsensical political ramblings that followed were probably just a side affect of a small stroke. Reminded me of another famous news broadcast.

I can understand the snapping.. It'd really frustrate anyone seeing how the economy is going bad to worse and people in power are doing virtually nothing to improve the situation. They seem busy scoring political brownie points at the expense of the whole nation. It would make me go berserk, snapping is pretty justifiable.

But then what he suggests in his rant is completely implausible, if you take a practical approach.

HAHAHA.. Ahh the memories... Watched this movie long ago, I still find it funny as hell..

    A good video on Capitalism.

There is a difference - Obama was willing to work with both sides of the Debit Issue for a sound solution, the Republicans sacrificed the resolution for their own Ideology and produced a failed plan.

The Administration positioned itself well for the 2012 campaign as a result of the Summers discord.
