The reality is, most intelligent people are independent thinkers and are more than capable of deciding for themselves what's fact and what's fiction. The sad reality is, there are a lot of people who would rather repeat verbatim anything they hear without any further research, validation or entertaining opposing views.

I've managed to live in this country for half a century and I've never had a dime of unemployment, a student loan, welfare, etc. Not because I was rich, but because I was raised to work for what I got. Managed to get thru college by working a backbreaking job (2 for a while), but it paid the bills. Took longer cause I was working and going to school, but it was the price of getting there. You do what it takes.

I have zero sympathy for healthy people that expect the government to solve their problems. The vote whores in DC need to quit playing santa claus with cash that isnt there. Here's a tip, tell healthy Americans if they want money, go work for it. If they think theyre too good for the jobs that are beneath them, they'll change their mind when they get hungry.

They could also cut foreign aid to a boatload of pissant countries that take the cash and still denounce us anyway.

In short, they could do what the "rich" they love to disparage have done for years to get the money the government takes from them as if it was really the governments to begin with... become efficient and work inside their budget. It doesnt take a brain surgeon to figure out if we keep electing buttheads that "bring home the bacon" we'll have a budget full of pork. The federal government is obese and needs to go on a serious diet. That'll require a lot less posturing and a lot more discipline.

Problem solved. I'll send a bill for my consulting fee later.

I wonder if they'll reprimand the lawmaker like they did the nice young man who called out "You Lie!!". It was a Democrat, so I guess not. You know if it were a Republican, we'd be hearing about it for the next two months. We won't hear about it from Olbermann, because he agrees with the sentiment in the words "f*ck off" when applied to Barack Obama.

I'm not sure I do not agree with what you are saying or where you are disagreeing with any post of mine, just that when there is a national debt of ~ 12 Trillion dollars that was exasperated by the previous Administration there come a time to put an end to it.

As it turns out the legislation now seems destined for passage and will add ~ 900 billion in two years to the national debt and was brokered by Senate Republicans and the Obama Administration. The Republicans just seriously have a problem understanding economics and national debts.

 

There wouldn't be a problem if they'd quit spending tax dollars that arent there like drunken sailors. Shut off the government givaways. Unemployment payments are a good example. Paying someone for not working doesnt exactly motivate 'em to get a job. It simply isnt the government's job. Is that heartless? No, it's reality. Quit paying healthy people for NOT working and they'll suddenly be motivated to find work.

Congress doesnt have the balls to tell people the hard truth... that our government wasnt established for the purpose of being a rich soft-touch uncle. Increasing taxes during a recession is not the answer... it's like eating the seed-corn instead of planting it. The answer is to cut the spending. Instead they're taking money from people that are working to earn it so they can buy votes by paying people not to work. That's just insanely wasteful and counterproductive.

Really? You're going to accept this as fact? You expect me to believe that after 9 straight years of increased federal revenue as a result of lower taxes that now its some how gonna cost 900 billion dollars? I think democrats will likely SPEND 900 billion dollars. Maybe that's what Gibbs is referring to.

 

My point exactly. If you trace who own's the media you will find the source of the media. Think about it, if your a soldier and get told to kill someone then what do you do? You do it and why? Because your paid to do it. A new's reporter will not question what they are told to read, they will just read it as that's their job. Then we watch the tv and take every last bit of it as truth. Why? because were told it's news. So why would they lie? To keep you controlled.

All the elite care about is control. Blast you with news of death and destruction. Keep you depressed and suppressed. The Rothschild own the central bank (federal bank) in america, england, france and germany. The same family which threw germany into a depression after world war one by printing more money (sound familiar?). The same family which funded hitler.
