Unique Wordpress features?

I'm really tired of the same old recent comments, 5 posts a page, blogroll same old stuff. I'm paying someone to make me a unusual theme which is going well, although I was wondering if anyone had some 'abstract' or non status quo ideas?

i use Morning After Theme and Visionary Theme

 

I usually find a decent looking theme for free, and hack the crap out of it, until I get what I want.
I also created a static page an embedded an Amazon store. IMO it really spruced up the site a bit, and gave me more to offer my readers.

No matter the theme...it's all about the plug-ins, and colors.

you can customise your themes by modifying codes in your selected templates
