Camp185 is right on target here. I would recommend that you experiment with different adwords ads and experiment with the keywords you target.

I wouldn't bother submitting your site to digg.com or stumbleupon. You may get some traffic, but doubtful it would be traffic that would convert into sales.

You need to work on backlinks with optimized anchor text. You currently only show one inbound link from another site via googles link: command.

    good luck.

    About 8 months old.

Can someone expand on these backlinks, and how I can do that?

I know for sure I am listed on about 5 sites... maybe they are too small to show up?

Coincidentally, I've been thinking about business cards the last few weeks, so I have the site open in another window as I write this :)

Problem #1, every page is giving me a "automation error, cannot create object". Common on a lot of websites, given that I have activex turned off. But still a drawback on a business site hoping to get my business. Having looked at your page for activex objects and finding none, I would bet it is in your urchintracker.js. Their code is a mess.

Problem #2, graphics used where text would do. Such as the step 1,2,3 on the business card order page.

Problem #3, what's that statement "do not hit BACK while processing order"? That is a sign the developer was too lazy or did not know how to keep track of state with a cookie or sessions. Most buyers *NEED* to go back to check things out, and are used to it. I don't care that your designer thinks that this is awkward or too much work to be bothered with, I'm the customer :)

Problem #4 Pricing is not on the first page of the order. It wants me to upload my artwork first! Not a chance that is ever going to happen.

Problem #5 The terminology used is more suitable for printing brokers than the general public. I worked in a small print shop many years ago. So, I understand, but not everyone will.

Problem #6,(added), Your about us page is useless for search engines. All the text is contained in a graphic. About us pages are prime search engine territory. This is where you have an excuse to let loose with keywords meaningful to your industry. Like: "lithography", "offset printing", "metal plates","baum folder", "color matching", "full bleed", you get the idea.

Problem #7,(added), What is your physical address? You are selling physical goods. I may want to order from someone close by for faster turnaround. And no, I am not going to look up area code 845 in a search engine.

I don't mean to be harsh. And since you are a member of digitalpoint I will give careful consideration to ordering with you. But, I wanted to give you some talking points with your designer. Or your *NEXT* designer.

BTW, do you use offset or web presses? That is true printing processes as opposed to digital duplication. This is a must for me.

Oh I just noticed, third party ads on your pricing page? Which never finishes loading because it goes into a endless loop. Ok finally it stopped. What's that blue engineseeker banner that follows me up and down the page while I'm trying to read pages. Do you know about these ads being on your site?

With these problems you aren't even making the most of the traffic that does happen to land on your site.

Sorry again, I'm not trying to be mean. I just think your designer let you down.

to check backlinks go to either google or yahoo and type in

    link:www.yourdomain.com

by the way, yahoo shows that you have ~104 backlinks

as far as how to go about building backlinks, there are a variety of ways.

    article marketing
    directories
    forum post signatures
    blog posts
    linkbaiting
and others that I am forgetting.

My best advice to you is to dedicate a couple of hours (or more) to searching the posts here on backlinks. There are also a lot of people here that offer backlink building services.

Yeah I am against the images instead of text. A lot of people still have slow internet connections so this loads slowly for them.

Dont apologize I need to hear what other users are experiencing. the engineseeker banner is a banner I added myself, to generate leeds on other peoples pages... I hate how it isnt stationary though.

    We use offset presses.

The "Do not hit back" comment is because if you are uploading your files the user will sometimes hit back during the upload. Almost all printing sites have this during the upload process. Then their files will not be uploaded correctly.

Is anyone willing to be or point me to a new websmaster?

Here is what I am looking for.

I hate my current websmaster, but he included 1 year of support with the price. Because he took forever to complete it. So that is the only reason I am sticking with him. I need to get out of this immediately to someone who can make the changes listed above and then maintain the site for me. I know a little about it, but I am not that great with PHP and databasses.

Can someone throw a price at me to make some changes and what the price would include.

I have a hosting acount with godaddy that can host multiple sites so I would throw it on there with the MySQL database. How difficult would this be?

While we are at it if someone wants to review these sites as well.

    totalsubmitcentral.com

They are new and need a face lift. But otherwise I would love for someones comments!!

    Thanks guys!

If you want quality back links, you should purchase text-links on sites like http://pagebowl.com

Ok I will check up on the site soon.

Also when I quoted how many unique visitors I was getting I was way off. I was looking at visits per day

Here are the past few months:
    Jan - 890
    Feb - 518
    march - 498

    IS this still horrible?

January was ok , but you need to see what you did in that month to get 819 and why you got lower the next month. But yes no offence those are very low for three months of hard work as you said.

I stopped using adwors because I was spending A LOT more than I was getting out of it. I just took a members advice from this forum and pointed to a different page.

The site is about 8 months old. Yes it is unique content. Is it worth visiting? I think so... I dont think its perfect but it's nice and looks better than my competitors.

Use Firefox and install the add-on, "InFormEnter". You set up a profile and include your site name, url, description, keywords, email, and whatever else. Then when you visit a link directory, navigate to the category you belong to, and click their button to add a link. On the form page, there is an icon next to the form fields, right click on that to populate the field. This wwill save you some time submitting to directories.
