Unique Visitors to my website

OK I have a website jmfprinting.com

I am seeing so many people post there stats here and I am starting to realize that something could be wrong.

I am barely getting 20-30 unique visitors a day.

I do a lot of advertising, I tried adwords and yahoo marketing...

and baner exchanges.. is this normal?

Can someone help?

 

Do you have good quality backlinks? 20-30 is quite low depending on the age of your website. My website http://surferr.com launched yesterday and it got 500 UNIQUE visits.

My method was -

Submit to topsites / directories
Buy Text-links on sites such as http://pagebowl.com
Post on forums such as talkfreelance, namepros, digitalpoint

 

Did you generate some sells from your adwords campaign ?

 

Maybe 1 from adwords

Nothing that made it worth my while.

Most of my sales are current customers, or word of mouth.

I edited all my keywords and descriptions submitted too major search engines, nothing seems to be cost effective, I wouldnt mind spending money as long as it was giving me return. I use google analytics to track everything as well...

I averaged 21.23 uniques through the month of march and I was paying for extra advertising through another site with targetted traffic. As well as an advertisement on their podcast.

 

well just advertise more then lol, go to forums and follow the rules and showcase your site, ask for reviews, submit to directories, build up good content and get your site indexed in search engines, my sites gets from 200-600 uniques daily and im sad about that lol, so work harder, the key to success

 

Well wanting to work harder is why I am here, I need to know the steps involved.

How do you submit to directories?

I said something about my site in a forum and they banned me..? I wasnt spamming...

I would also love for people to review my site.

 

To get huge traffic,you need a lot of high quality backlinks with similar content.

 

search for directories, go to the directory announcements board in this forum -- look for directories visit them, and submit your site to the most appropriate category, build up backlinks

http://www.gamers-forum.com/phpLD is my directory, feel free to submit to there, free links until sunday so do it fast if u want, its PR3 and gets traffic, can push some users on to u if lucky.

just build up more relevant links

 

My advice to you is to put a link to your site in your signature of this forum, and any other forums that allow you to do so.

My favorite form of building backlinks is article marketing.

 

20-30 visitors a day is almost nothing.
Try exchanging links or buying links on high traffic websites.
You can also try adbrite for advertising.

 

You you would write an article and include info about your site?

I do this all over myspace, forums and other sites...

I dont see much of a response. I got 100-300 uniques in Nov, Dec, and Jan.

Feb and March are slower for some reason. Plus then I was doing the Pay per click and spending a ton of money with no return.

Forinstance I turned on PPC just for today at about 2:00 in the afternoon and just spent almost $40.. Leaving that on will get expensive and is just ridiculous to me

I just hate haveing usernames and passwords for 11 forums. so If I can bring them all into one that would be cool. I would definately still come here for the technical and in depth discussions about website and the aspects that go along with them.

 

A lot of people market to get tons of traffic. I don't think this is the case for you. You need high quality traffic that buys something. I would continue to use google adwords, but try different pitches and mess around with the key words. What was your budget before? I would have to imagine that if you spent $100 in one month that you would at least get a few purchases. I would expect to get at least 300 visitors for that much money. You might even want to create a campaign for each product to see if maybe one is more worth it than the other.

Looking at your site I clicked enter store, and saw the 4 sale banners. You need to make them link to making business cards or whatever it is they sell otherwise they are just a distraction.

 

yeah I need a few things changed on the site but my webmaster SUCKS... I can never get a hold of him and want to pull the site to my own server and say peace. he never returns calls or emails... I havent heard back from him in weeks....

I know html and some PHP but he has it set up with a lot of backend emails that are sent to the customers and what not so I dont feel comfortable enough messing with anything. but I will add your suggestion to my list.

 

A quick fix for that is to have the google campains link directly to the order pages. Forget the home page.

Did I miss it? How old is the site?

 

Digg? Are you serious? Do you really think posting an article about how his printing company can make business cards for $68. He would get 20 hits one day, and the page will never get digged again.

No affiliation at all! They print crap, jmfprinting.com prints high quality everything! A lot of my customers left vistaprint after seeing what we do.
