What is it ?

This app is totally unique. One day I was browsing facebook and noticed the app profile banners. If any of you are familiar with that app you know how popular that one is with well over 1million active users. Well i thought to myself i want an app just like that but how will i make it stand out from the others. While looking through apps i discovered that due to facebook profile changes A very popular app "My top Friends" no longer worked. This app had over 10million users and in fact still has over 100k users (TODAY) even without it working for months now. So i figured i'd combine the two.

So what i did is combine the "viralness" of both apps and created TOP FRIENDS BANNER

And it's Growing in just a few weeks it has well over 4k active users and I suspect there will be over 5k once facebook update's it insights. On average it gains 60 - 200 new users per day, 420 - 1400 per week, or 1680- 5600per month

How does it work?

Lol it works just like top friends use to. You select your top five friends and then decide on a design you'd like your banner background to be. The system then creates the images, post them to the user's wall and "magically" creates a banner on the users profile page that lists his/her top friends 1-5

How do you run it ?

You don't for the most part. It runs itself. I've implemented a neat way to keep it viral that I'll tell the winner. The only leg work you have to do is promote it and approve banners that members create to be posted on public banner board. I wake up, Approve a few banners, check my fb insight to see how well it's doing and i go on about my day

Is it earning and $$$$

At this time no. It's still a fairly new site/app. I placed a few adsense ads on two days ago and now average $1.50/day

Why sell ?

For the money of course !!!! I develop sites and i have tons of ideas that cost money to start-up. I'm not the best marketer so i focus on the development mostly.

Will you offer updates/support ?

The site/code at the time of auction closes will be 100% working as it has been for weeks now. If you want updates to the code or changes made i will do them for a fee. I will however walk you through the jist of operating the site, answer questions and give suggestions via skype. I'm online most the day

It's a known facebook related bug. See it here: http://bugs.developers.facebook.net/show_bug.cgi?id=15933 - I will however see if there's a workaround

 

how do you place adsense on facebook? Just curious as to how you'd make money with this.

 

The app itself is actually an iframed php file so you can pretty much place what u like in the php code

 

seems really slow?

 

Yea app is hosted on a choppy vps server otherwise it would be faster. But it's usually ok tho.

UPDATE

1. The app now has 5,523 active users !!!
2. The app is listed #1 in google for the term: "Top Friends Banner"
