In the URL shortner, there is custom text you can enter, even if I enter "1" or "game", I can get it. What's the point then? If others can do the same?

 

Hi, I am sorry I do not quite understand your question. The point of the URL shortener is to take a very long link and make it much smaller.

For example:

Here is a very long link for a bag on buy.com:

http://www.buy.com/prod/samsonite-i...s-up-to-17-laptops/q/loc/16234/204871871.html

With the URL shortener you can send it to somebody much smaller like this:

http://tooljax.com/url-shortener/bag/

Will you transfer to new owner's hosting if purchased? What is required on the hosting side?

The scripts were obtained from a few different sites and are licensed for THAT site meaning they are licensed for tooljax.com.

As far as hosting goes, I will push to your GoDaddy account and you can take it from there. Hosting will not require much - I will send you the files in a zip and all you need to do is extract and upload, the total package is not very big.
