its a content script. When I spin the content, I need to know how to determine the uniqueness of the articles compare to or from the original one. This would help to determine which article is good enough to avoid being considered duplicate content in the search engines.

Just for a better understanding, this is what I'm askin people: I am creating an online article script, and would like to add a comparison/unique ratio feature onto it. This will save time and money in checking content for customers, as well as myself. I notice on the site dupe cop has an online duplicate content checker. It is probably something they just developed. I just need an idea or reference, or an imitation of a script (allows me to cross-compare versions of an article for uniqueness in percentage terms compared to all the other articles) that can do that. If anyone can help me, I'll provide to you a free lifetime access to my new content script coming soon!

hmmm, never made or seen how this should work but this comes into my mind now :
    1) estabilish a grid of 100% from were all texts will start (a variable)
    2) explode both texts with a group of 3-4-5 whatever words number
    3) compare the groups of exploded words between texts, and if they match subtract -10% or whatever from the 100% variable which will become the ratio
Not sure if it's defectuous but at least it's an idea which you might develop
