I have to admit that this took me completely by surprise. Many people are familiar with my female celebrity website, but I launched others around the same time that I did FreshDames as part of my own sandbox to play and learn in. One of those sites, isnowlegal.com, has been left out there, rarely attended to, but brought a most welcome surprise. The other day, when searching for "paris hilton wallpapers" in Google, I see two of the three images listed at the top of the search results are from this site. I checked the stats and sure enough, my #1 referrer for that site has become Google Image, shooting about 1200 people a day to my site from those pictures. Thank you, Google! Now, I need to find some high-converting ads or advertisers
I find with that type of ranking, 99% of those people are hotlinking (and eating bandwidth) and not actually clicking on any ads. However, I would be really interested in what the CTR for that page is for you compared to your other pages where the majority of traffic comes from regular search.
Those pages had zero ads on them until I noticed this little surprise. Two days ago I placed an ad on each; together, they've made just under $40 in two days. As the site gets no real "regular search" traffic, it's hard to compare. That wouldn't hurt my feelings one bit!
