Hi, You may well know (or not) that submitting to directories using the same description is a complete waste of time, you might have used one of those cheap directory submission services like here on DP and yet even though the submissions were all done you got hardly any benefit. The reason for this is because of repeat content in your description, especially when all those links with the same description appear within a few days. These kind of links not only trigger Googles repeat content filter but are also discounted anyway because they are seen to be automated or submitted in mass and are merely seen as the website owner trying to manipulate SERPS, Google doesnt have to be clever to notice these kind of links. In the last year or so, lots of SEO forums have talked about directory submission being a waste of time...yes it is a waste of time if you do it the lazy way......but if you do it the right way and show to Google that all your links are different....and then its a different story The right way to do it is to submit to each directory using a completely different description, of about 200-300 characters, but obviously that could take months...so this is where I come in.
