Selling Unique classified ad membership website...great concept! Only $150

This site is about six months old but it was pushed to the back of line for other projects. The site is a Harley Davidson motorcycle site (over 4m searches per month just in the US) that has over 18k harley bikes for sale. The site has a unique concept that I have tried on other sites and it worked well. The site is a membership based site. Instead of a normal classified ad site where the seller pays to post an ad this one you have to be a member of to contact the seller of the bike. The membership fee is only $1.99.

I have ran this concept on some other sites that I have and it works well if you are driving good traffic and most of the members never cancel their memberships since it is only $1.99 most people just forget about it and never miss the $2 from their account. Kind of like the rebill offers that used to be so popular.

The pulls the bikes from other locations via a custom wordpress plugin so the site is always getting new listings and will average several hundred new listings per day. The software alone on the site is worth far more than the asking price. Most buyers that are looking for a used Harley are willing to join at only $1.99 if they see a bike they are interested in and with 20k bikes on the site they are very likely to find a bike they really want. The site also runs adsense which will do $15 or $20 a month with limited traffic.

I do have a good marketing method that works well ( not sure I would leave adsense on the site if you are using this method) and I will share how I market my other sites using this method. I have some similar sites in other niches that are not as popular as the Harleys that get over 30k to 40k visitors per month (not changed them to membership yet) and it would be easy to drive at least 20k or more visitors per month to this site using the same methods. If you convert at 1% (my other sites convert at 4.7% that is $400 per month in recurring fees. After 3 months you are making $1600 a month even at 1%.

I also have a source where you can get great deals on Harley bikes that you can list on the site yourself to lure in members. They are real bikes and when you have bikes that are priced at wholesale you end up getting a lot of members that are willing to pay to contact the wholesaler.

The site is already set up and working well. I just finished the membership part today so there may be a few bugs I need to fix but I will provide support. I do have some other types of cars from Ferraris to Corvettes and more if anyone is interested in other types of items. Not interested in selling my big sites but will sell off some of the ones I dont have time to run.
