Hi All, I have recently started a unique Christian themed blog that links scripture to modern day business. As it's a start-up I am having trouble generating traffic, we have implemented various social marketing strategies and that is where the majority of our traffic is coming from. I have tried posting on various christian themed forums and am not having much luck there. I was just wondering if anyone had any experience in this sort of blog and who could share some of there experiences/provide some useful tips. Even if you havent, all help and suggestions would be much appeciated! Thanks in advance!
The best thing to do is keep doing what you're doing. Sounds like bad advice but this stuff takes work and time and it'll start to get better. Comment on other Christian themed blogs and forums. Eventually people will start to take notice and link back / visit your site. good luck!
Subtle - try correlating google trends to a daily verse out of proverbs. That shouldn't be too hard to do and do it every day. I bet that generates some activity. I would also put articles up on ezine as that is a great way to get action. What's the url?
I think posting in the correlating forums is a good idea,but it'll need time for you to see the result,so please be more patient.What's more,you should also prepare some ads paragraphs to promote your website.Make them attractive and brief as possible as you can.Further,you can try to change links with other similar blogs to increase the traffic.Link building should never be overlooked.Well,good luck.

Hi, I agree about the link building...because free organic traffic always the best way to go...not only is it free but its very targeted if you do your keyword research right...and can generate a lot of free traffic for ya...backlink each post atleast with 10 backlinks as long as the keywords arent too competetive and backlink to the main page slowly every day at 10 links per day and given some time it will become a traffic generating machine and google will love it and rank everything you write about on the first page...I speak from personal experience...and I only have a 11 month old blog...not bad but it does take some time...good luck
oh and I forgot to add that video marketing is great..google is loving any videos right now and is ranking videos very high...first page usually if you did your keyword research right...plus the backlinks and view from the video hosting sites is all bonus traffic!
There is no secret to getting traffic. It just takes hard work. You have to keep networking your site so others can find you -- write articles, build links, seo, classifieds, blogs, etc. The list is long and there are tons of posts here on digital point discussing these issues.
