Hello Dpers, I know what the C class Ip address is theoretically. But, how do i get them for my domains ???? Does it depend solely on the host of the domain??? Which popular service providers provide unique and different C class IP addresses. Any help is always appreciated. regards
I think you are talking about SEO and backlink juice right? C class IPs in this sense mean that backlinks from another C class IP would be counted way more considerably than ones from with a C class IP range. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Lol... What am i to correct there buddy?? You are spot on... But, I am asking How can we get that different unique C class ip's. HOW DO WE GET DIFFERENT c class ip's for our blogs ???
You can do this by choosing different Class C ranges for your each blog from your hosting service provider. There are many hosting plans that allows you to run more than 1 domains on a single web hosting plan. If you take this plan all your blogs will be on same Class C.
..... I said i dont want them to be on the same C class.... I want them to be on separate C class ips.
In most cases providers don't like to provide IP's from different networks C (that's not convinient). So you can only find this info contacting your hosting provider
^^ Thats the last thing i want to do.... I am sure DP can help me find this answer.... i am waiting...
Contact your hosting provider and ask them about spreading your account over a few unique IP's. If they are making enough money off you, they should accommodate this for you. Also, you could just go sign up with few different hosting companies at the same time.
i think, the second last thing you would like to do that is to host your blogs in different hosting provider.. *easy answer* hehehe.. i wanna know if there is any idea from posts after mine..
That's what I told you! If you need all you blogs to be on different class C IP you can choose this option from your hosting provider. They allot you different C class IP but it will cost more.
You buy accounts with different hosts or you pay more. If you are lucky sometimes your host will automatically assign you a different IP Block based on when you set up your blog. Set them up back to back and you end up on the same, set them up a month or two apart and you can get on a different server or IP Block. Depends on the host. The bottom line is as long as you are not "bending" the rules and you host a small number of blogs it's okay to be on the same Class C. Why? Because Google doesn't ban IP blocks with software because they would have a huge problem. They would ban a site based on IP and automatically ban everyone else on that host. They recognized this awhile back. This is not to say it is not impossible to be banned by association but if you are with a well known host the chances of this are extremely small. Where a unique Class C block becomes helpful is if you register your Domains in Proxy (Keep in mind Google is a Registrar), then you can interlink your sites with little worry of penalty as long as you are smart about it.
