Unique Automated Forum Spam

    I get so much automated Spam and it is of course really easy to spot but I was looking through my logs at sites that link to me and found a pretty unique one. Now the posts that follow the original spam are in russian but they seem to be answering the guys question (they link to an interview I did about phpBB add ons)

    I think this is the type of Spam that might not get deleted on most non webmaster forums.

    So these guys haven't spotted that the poster was linking to a v1agra site?

    You are right that this can go undetected quite easily. Also I reckon a load of spam could get though filters if it was written in proper English with correct grammer etc. If the message is well written people won't even consider it to be spam.

    I got that very same spam message a while back, of course it was promptly removed but I thought it was ingenious.

    I just got this on my forum the other day, it definitely threw me at first. The giveaway for me was the persons profile, it was quite spammy.

    phpBB spam bots are everywhere.. their is a quick way to stop them.. just make a small profiled in register.php (or w/e lol)

    Like this ->
    1 + 1 =

    This will cut off 90% of the automated spam...(Thats what i did on my vb forum)
