I e-mailed one of the new affiliate companies I signed up with asking for some tips on what's working well for their affiliates, etc.. I get a msg back saying they can't really give me any tips coz it's confidential. wtf?? I thought we were in the same boat, here. Is it normal for them not to tell you what's converting or what's doing well? That was a first for me.
I will ad my own "WOW"! You were not asking for names and websites...just asking what is working well for other affiliates they have. To be honest, if I got a response like that from an affiliate manager, I would dump the program. Jim
I would but they got some interesting items which will either bomb or sell pretty well. I'll see how it goes...
Some AM's are gun shy with passing out information because they dont want to give away one of their big affiliates secrets unknowingly. Message boards are good because you can usually find help by posting. if you want an idea of what works in general i will run the list down for you. Dating Ringtones Free stuff like free ipods, gift cards, etc.. Anything with a brand name and a big presence on TV (i.e. Blockbuster, FTD Flowers (seasonal) For specific campaigns you should ask your AM, if your AM isn't helpful email their boss and ask for a new AM, or work with someone else.
