I'd like to sell one of my projects: http://www.bindingsouls.com/ It's a site where users can sign up and create a wedding website, by choosing a template and adding their own text. A newly created demo site can be seen at: http://www.bindingsouls.com/test . Currently there is only 1 template available. What you get: - domainname registered at Namecheap - website coding and design as is The designs for the main site and the user's site template alone have cost around $150 and psd files will be included in the sale. It's listed as unfinished because the following still needs to be done: - edit current site template (simple things such as removing the dummy 'lorem ipsum' text) - add new templates (an easy solution would be to have the current template available in several other color schemes) - text writing for the main site (intro text, help, terms etc.) main site: http://www.bindingsouls.com/ demo site: http://www.bindingsouls.com/test/ login: test pass: test As far as I know there are few sites that offer this service, so if promoted well this could grow into something nice. Unfortunately I do not have the time nor the budget right now to continue development of this site. I will consider offers of low to mid $xxx
have you had any ideas on how to monetize this. Adsense/YPN may not be that attractive option since for folks who want to show their wedding photos to friends and family may not like to have the ads shown in the pages. Is some sort of subscription or paid membership integrated into the coding and setup ?
Sorry for the late answer. There is no subscription or paid membership integrated but this could be done. Buyer also gets the contact info of the programmer so any features you would like to add could be discussed with him. I'd thought of a couple of ways to monetize this website: - donations, by placing a 'donate' button in the user's control panel - selling footer links, most users do not mind a few links in the footer - selling related products or services on the homepage - paid membership Another idea was to link to all the user's sites on the homepage, thereby creating some type of community which would be an interesting place for non-members as well. but tbh my first concern was to get traffic to it first, I would only try to monetize it once the number of visitors would be worthwhile.
