    Hi

I just got back home a while ago to find 4 emails containing infraction notices to my disbelief i found one to be for posting a bid update on an external offer i had received, how is this bumping?

The other was for bumping using edit button, BUT I HAD TO EDIT it, and it may just be me but this seems very contradictive. Also i didnt know editing threads/posts bumped them

these infractions seem a little harsh, especially the one for posting a bid update :(

I didnt know edits bumped posts either, seems a little silly, especially as if you make a mistake in an auction or offer of domain for sale you can't then change it

    Maybe that should be changed.

I don't think editing the post is considered a bump, infact you are advice to change your bin by editing the original post or by contacting a mod after the 8 hour period. But I think there is a limit on the number of times you are allowed to edit your bin.

    I just checked your infractions:

Between Jun 1st 2007, 4:03 am and Jun 1st 2007 at 6:26 am you posted three times in a row when all you had to do was use the edit button which remains active for eight hours after posting. There is no reason to double or tripple post.

Your other infractions was in another thread where you made three posts in a row between Old 5:17 pm and 11:53 am.

As Aragorn said, an edit to an existing post is not considered a bump.

I apologise if i have done anything wrong and i guess id better not argue, i didnt know about this editing rule though, perhaps it would be a good idea to make a sticky about it, just so its clear to other DP'ers who may not know.

Ill be a good little DPer from now on.

Or perhaps people should actually take the time to read the rules/faq? All the info you need is within there.

Well we already have sticky thread about infraction and also Faq is there for this. Edit button is available for 8 hours ( I think).
