Unexplained popups on my site?

My optical illusion site has unexplained popups. They don't happen everytime. But I run across them on my site on more then one computer. Now another site that placed a link to my site also included a pop up warning.

All I have for ads are Google and Chitika.

Does anyone have any insight into this?

I've got the same thing happening on mine!
I followed the link and contacted the owner of the website displayed asking what kind of advertising they are involved in, with no response.
Sent a second email asking if they prefer that I take care of the matter myself via legal means- no response. LOL

I guessed spyware too, because my kids share my home machine. However my work machine has been locked down pretty tight. Now a third site labeled my site with a pop up warning. Even I only got the popups once every twenty times. There is no way to remove the popup without refreshing the site. Anything else sends me to the website advertised.

One popup is a flash item for a casino, the other ad is a simple image and url.

I'll look at my machines closer. Thanks

I finally found the source of the popups that occasionally would pop up on my site. I used a script from http://www.fastonlineusers.com/ to post how many users were online. I must have modified their code an removed a link back to them at some point. They finally crawled my site and would place an ad on my site very infrequently. They state on their site this quite clearly.

Thought I would pass this on to you all in case others are being slowly driven crazy. :)

No pop-ups, but I once had the same thing happen. It turned out that a 3rd party stats provider (nedstat.net) started showing one pop-up every 24 hours.
