unexpected font-size

Hello, thanks for all good advice in the past,

I write some pages about Ubuntu-Linux in Swedish. I ask for font Times 16px. It comes out as expected in major browsers Windows and Linux, except for Chromium under Linux. In Chromium it doesn't look like Times and size is larger than in other browsers. (It also seems that Firefox under Linux needs just a little bit more space to fit the words on the line. Please see attachments.)

I do not know how to check the font characteristics of a web-page. I usually just copy and paste to Open Office. If i do that I get Times 12 px.

Please tell me why Chromium under Linux looks different from all the others and how I should verify what font-family and size I really get. (I know there is some setting "minimum font size allowed", but I haven't touched Chromium settings.)

It is a really big problem when fitting text into fixed size divs etc.

    The page is here:

(Please press "[TA BORT MEDDELANDET]" if grey message panel obstructs view.)

    Thanks

Well, I can only tell you that I gave up on this one.
It seems Google Chromium under Linux displays a larger font than I ask for. 12 px looks like 14px maybe. (It had considerable negative effects in many places of the page.) But it is possible to set smaller size.
I have therefore now spent quite some time reducing the font size for Google Chromium under Linux.
I never understood the basic problem.

Looks like others are having the same issue: google.com/support/forum/p/Chrome/thread?tid=53d067b83bab017c&hl=en

According to this post, font-sizes below 12 are ignored by Chrome: google.ru/support/forum/p/Chrome/thread?tid=0769cae45b6fd986&hl=en

chrome ignores many attributes, not only font-size - sometimes

Perhaps it does not support that font or size, use an alternative one too

Thanks for suggestions, guys. Always helpful to get input.
But this is a little crazy. I haven't clearly found any missing size or font. (But I haven't had time for real scientific trial of every size ...) My impression is only that Chromium/Linux just makes every font-size larger and Times doesn't look like Times even though Chromium says that it it rendering Times.
Also strange - in this digital age. it is not so easy to know what font you get. i think the only way is to post a screenshot in a forum and ask the members what they think it looks like ! :) Thanks again.
