Unexpected character in input

    I am receiving this error when in my website VERACRUZ.COM.MX

    Warning: Unexpected character in input: '\' (ASCII=92) state=1 in /home/veracruz/public_html/ad_network_335.php on line 2

    Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/veracruz/public_html/ad_network_335.php on line 2


    I followed all the instrucctions, but I still can't figure out what's wrong.

    Can anybody help?

    Hmmm... there is no "\" in the first lines though. What editor did you use to create the PHP script?

    I used windows wordpad.
    should I have used another one?

    got it!
    I just created the files with notepad and it's working fine
