I would like to asked if you guys do received unexpected calls from paypal?. Coz I recieved some call from paypal today and I asked if their is some problem with paypal they told me their is none but they asked me about some payment which I received today and what is the purpose of me using paypal. Another thing is that they didnt tell me if what paypal account coz i am using premier and personal account so I am not sure. Is it ok to received payment from outsourcing or writing articles?. By the way does paypal call you before ?? I am bit apprehensive since I have money in my paypal they might limit my account
Well, I never got any call from them. And don't worry about about limitation as it can be removed in minutes if everything is correct from your side. - Mr.President -
thats strange normally they limit the account for big transaction for asking documents never seen such thing. just dont share password/secret answer with such calls
Well Even I got one phone call from PayPal long back, they called me when I sent around 2k$ to some one in China and I got a call from them in five mins after making the transaction. They confirmed me that if I am aware of this transaction made from my account. And when I asked what this call is regarding so she replied me by saying that its just a precaution call from them to make sure that everything is under control. So I don't think that there is anything to worry about. Regards
I never every got a call they allways freeze the account. But, I would call them back and ask question. Its rare that they call. Outsourcing or writing articles should be no problem. Check out- Help Center https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/helpweb?cmd=_help
I also got calls from them 2 or 3 times a week even If i get 200$ or 3k$. They Just ask about payment and purpose as these days so many person using Paypal and they think someone doing Money Laundry.
I never got a call... Be safe with this.. It might be a hacker trying to social engineer you.. If he starts asking your login, password or security answer, report to the police and/or to paypal...
During holiday seasons they MIGHT pump up security due to fraud and a ton more sales going through BUT if they asked personal information or passwords I would SUGGEST changing it. Anytime you get a call like this ask for a call back number and their name.
You should use at least business account to received payment from job. No paypal did not call me before.
yes paypal has called me up once when i transferred 250$, minutes after the transaction, i said yes i made the payment, then they wanted the sellers details, i said that was a service i subscribed for from internet and i dont know much details about the seller (why should i when i trust their services), the girls calling up was from their Singapor call center and could hardly speak english and understand english, so they ended up reversing the transaction and i ended up paying again next time through credit card instead of paypal for their services, basically paypal lost the transaction fees and i like that sometimes
Seems odd. I'd never gotten a call either and I've been using paypal since before they had those sweet debit cards. (I'm so old!) But they work and that's why I use them. Anyhow, you should be careful whenever anyone calls you inquiring about financial. Because I'd never had Paypal call me and since they're based in Omaha (Nebraska) there shouldn't be any people calling from other countries. Sounds like a scam so never give out your financial information. If they ask for it, then go to Paypal's website and find the actual number, tell the person who's asking that you're going to hang up and call them back, ask their name, station, etc. If they protest then call Paypal and report the phone number. It just all screams of scam.
I once got a call from Paypal to confirm a purchase I made. They just want to make sure no fraud happens. I am sure it is not anything serious.
thats strange, they would rarely call up, could be a random check up call its always that i have made calls to paypal on any issue that came up
