I recently wrote an article on unethical SEO techniques. You can find this article here. Here's the list that's included in the article: Misspellings of Common Words Hidden or Invisible Text Hidden Links Alt Attributes Keyword Stuffing Doorway Pages Specific Content to Users Mirror Websites Link Farms Code Swapping I was wondering if a few people could respond to this post (and maybe start some discussion). Here's a few things to think about: Are these techniques still in use? I know for a fact that a few have died out. Would you consider these techniques 'unethical'? Why or why not? Would you recommend any of these techniques to anyone? Even though they aren't always the best options, are they sometimes helpful? Thanks! Again, you can find the article here.
It would be nice to tell us briefly what are the "unethical SEO techniques" involved instead of trying to get visitors for Gulanti.info I would love to say that I had written something at http://... and ask for your opinion but I (and many) won't.
It's gulati.info. Good idea though, I added a basic rundown of the post to the first post on the topic. Thanks for the suggestion.
austin-G, You have revised your post after I wrote. Now you are on a right track. I googled and saw "Your search - site:http://gulanti.info - did not match any documents." A new site of yours? My 1-cent (cheaper than 2-cent) is that all are to be avoided except "Misspellings of Common Words" because many are not able to spell properly especially English words. Nothing unethical about using misspelt as your keywords/domains.
Try site:http://gulati.info Yeah, that has been the general thought. People agree with the other items, but many say that misspelling is ok.
This isn't suggestion techniques to use. This is suggesting techniques NOT to use. All of the techniques are pretty well known.
You have included Alt tags as unethical SEO technique. Alt tags used properly can generate SEO value by showing that you have relevant content on your website for target keywords. You can rename that misleading "technique name" because I thought you are saying Alt tags use is unethical as a whole
