at the website stated above, the book is released as a free ebook. so may be someone is sharing here. btw.. did u have a look inside?
I didn't really want to say, but yes I am the writer of the book, you may criticize me if you want, its just taught the way I would want to be taught. I am also the creator of The Mad Touch. So please feel free to download my book, more parts are on their way, Happy PHP developing! Nick
No offense on the book ( I haven't read yet ), I only ask cuz in the last 2 weeks alone I seen people putting up ebooks of popular published titles that are not free.
You really should consider just placing this as HTML on your website. I also thought the same thing at first. Besides that, it takes quite some time for this file to download and most people don't have such an attention span (for something they have no idea is useful to them or not) And lastly, more content on your website is good for your rankings, so it's a win win for you. Anyway, the book is still downloading.....
Ok, after looking at it, it's really basic and simple. Well, exactly as you said, for newbies it's quite alright I guess. However, that video shouldn't be included, it slows down the download time and it was just confusing the way it was filmed.
Thanks for your input, the video is to show how the login system works, sorry its confusing, the file is only 12mb.
Yes, but those download sites limit the download speed to 30kb/s.. so it takes quite some time. And if you really want to include a screencast, just show it as it is, don't darken the screen and reposition the movie like you did.
I would have just placed it on the site, ie: more traffic to your site than just distribution of an ebook, which also may allow you to update/revise easily as needed. Also that way the new programmers have a better way of finding your material thru searches.
yea i agree with him as wel. You could run the tutorial in your site and keep control of updates and also able to see a few dollars through selling ad space.
