I understand from reading the forum that a keyword density of 2-3% is advisable. However is this 2-3% of everything on the page including alt tags, nav bar menu etc or just 2-3% of the description and title. Ive attached an example of a page where Im trying to optimize for the phrase "glass safety film", I'm having a bit of trouble working out the data. It shows a total of 0.59% keyword density for the whole page, should this figure be 2-3%?
So would I be better to get the total on the page to 2-3% rather than 2-3% of the description and title?
Thats 2% of the total page, as in all these areas below? HTML Title Meta_Description Meta_Keywords Visible_Text Alt_Tags Comment_Tags Domain_Name Image_tags Linked_Text Option Tags Reference_Tags
I've just added some keywords and still the total keyword density is only 0.89% but the density of the visible text is 1.56%. This is why Im wondering should 3% keyword density be of just visible text all on the whole page? Second report is here -
Dude, instead of focusing on perfecting the keyword density just make sure you write a proper article that people would be interested in reading. Even if you do get some traffic no one is going to bother reading it because its going to be incredibly annoying.
not only keyword density but content of the article does matter. quality content is the key , which is interesting for user as well as for search engine. so you must keep all factors in mind instead of keeping just one
Looking towards the SEO facts i think 2 % are more then enough otherwise it may be treated as KW stuffing.
Im not planning on stuffing keywords where they shouldnt go but if the amount of keywords usage is too high then I can substitute for alternatives. Ideally from a writing point of view I think it reads better to vary with alternatives however for an SEO point of view this isn't true so I'm just trying to work out - in a perfect world would the bets keyword density be 2% of the visible text or 2% of all the text on the site?
